Privacy policy

Who we are

Wizard Coded (UEN: 53531292W) is a Singapore business that builds and publishes apps. When this policy says “we” or “us”, it means Wizard Coded. We handle personal information in line with Singapore’s data protection law, the Personal Data Protection Act 2012.

What this policy covers

This policy covers wizardcoded.com and anything you send us directly, such as an email. It also sets out the commitments that hold for all of our apps.

Each app also has its own privacy policy that describes exactly what that app handles. Where an app’s policy goes into more detail, that detail applies to the app:

What we promise across all our apps

• We collect only what an app needs in order to work, and we say what that is in the app’s own policy.
• We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
• Our apps do not show ads from other companies, and they do not follow what you do in other apps or on other websites.
• Purchases made inside an app are handled by Apple or Google. Your card details never reach us.
• You can ask us what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted (see Your rights).

This website

You don’t sign up for anything on wizardcoded.com, and we don’t track your visit or build a picture of who you are. A few things still happen whenever someone opens the site.

• Visit records. Like most websites, ours keeps a short record of each visit: roughly where on the internet the visit came from, when it happened, which page was opened, and what kind of device and browser were used. We use these records only to keep the site working and to look into misuse. They are deleted automatically after about 10 days.
• Delivery and protection. An outside service delivers the site to you and shields it from attacks. It sees the same basic details about your visit in order to do that.
• Lettering. The site’s fonts come from Google, so Google can see that your device asked for them. Google does not pass anything about you on to us.

When you email us

If you write to us, we keep your email address, your name if you give it, and what you tell us, so that we can reply and help you. We keep that correspondence only as long as we need it to deal with your question and any follow-up. After that, we delete it unless the law requires us to keep it.

Children

Some of our apps, such as Revise, are used by school pupils. The app’s own policy explains what is held for a young user and who is responsible for consent. Our other apps are not meant for children. If you believe a child has given us personal data they shouldn’t have, contact us and we will delete it.

Who else sees it

We share personal data only with the service providers that help us run the website and apps, and only as far as they need to do that job. They include the service that delivers our website, Google for the website’s fonts, and Apple and Google for in-app purchases and signing in. Each app’s policy lists the providers that app uses. We will also disclose data where Singapore law, a court or a regulator requires it.

Some of these providers process data outside Singapore. Where that happens, we rely on providers that protect personal data to a standard comparable to Singapore’s.

Keeping it safe

We take sensible steps to protect the personal data we hold, such as protecting information as it travels to and from us and letting only the people who need it see it. No system is perfectly secure. If a data breach is likely to cause you significant harm, we will notify you and the relevant authority as Singapore law requires.

Your rights

Under Singapore law you can:

• ask what personal data we hold about you and how it has been used;
• ask us to correct anything that is wrong;
• withdraw your consent to us using your data, and ask us to delete it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will publish the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
